IEBP began over 30 years ago for the sole purpose of providing a healthcare program for the betterment of our member schools and their employees. Today, we’ve expanded to offer a full-line of benefits and administrative services. We carefully and objectively review new member applications to ensure employee groups are compatible with our objectives and strengthen our overall Program. This review helps us maintain our advantage of lower rates and better benefits.
No matter the number of employees, each member organization is an equal owner and has one representative on our board. We meet quarterly to review our benefit plans, rates, and claim activity. IEBP is owned, operated and controlled by our members, with no outside influences.
Due to effective management, we maintain reserve funds each year. These reserves are used as needed to reduce future rate increases and other plan expenses and are applied equally among our members. New members are full-partners from the first day of membership — there’s no vesting schedule.

This includes a state-of-the-art online enrollment and consolidated billing system — it’s easy to learn and easy to use. Gallagher provides initial on-site training and on-going support is just a toll-free call away.
Gallagher also performs regular comprehensive reviews of our plan using actuarial analytics, legal resources, and comparative data. Their compliance staff provides input and guidance regarding adherence to benefit laws and regulations. One-on-one compliance consultation is available at no additional cost for uncommon circumstances.
